Aaaahhhhh something about being the first to post in your busy blog... all of them incredible. Glad to see the dog back... adds something a little light hearted about otherwise very thoughtful and serene photographs.... beautiful as always!
I love all these sky shots but the first is my favorite so black .... ;) Its very special !! Angelina you are looking so beautiful I wish I had that photo from you, Than could I look at you the whole day =^.^= ;)
That's why it isn't enough to know how to buil a boat, but one must also be able to feel the desire for life. A weekend filled with harmony-waves for you.
They are all stunning. I don't feel worthy to critique great work as this. You work amazes me. I saw a book at the bookstore yesterday called Visual Poetry. You could have written it. Check it out.
What a great title for this set. If I remember it correctly, Poseidon was very moody just like the sea. Seems like he had a good day when you captured the pictures.
(Saint-John Perse)
(are you still not bored with me and my endless quotes? are you? :-)
"...Three lines of wave together raced, and, full in the white crest of them, a wild Sea-Bull flung to the shore, a fell and marvellous thing. The whole land held his voice, and answering roared in each echo..."
But you've photographed a Poseidon more tamed! :-)
Well, Prospero, I think these exemplify some of your best work...especially the first two, but the others are also superb! That lighthouse shot is stunning!
Poseidon is powerful. The sheer size and grandness of the big water scares me. Your vision reflects this perception of divine grandness and energy of nature perfectly!
coucou Prospero... un petit coucou en passant...:) Angelina est une très belle sirène...et j'adore tes cieux et paysages maritimes... a bientot Prospero..prends soin de toi...:)
There is an angel in your cloud pictures. She faces upward reflecting beauty below. What wonderful work you do! Your photos always give reason to ponder.

I really like them all, but I also really like the first one. Angelina has such a sweet look on her face, tell her hi from Gracie :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite pictures of Angelina. I also love the first and last images.
ReplyDeleteThe light on your first photo is really impressive. I like the colours of the last one, too, but why did you cut top of the mast?
ReplyDeleteThat's why it isn't enough to know how to buil a boat, but one must also be able to feel the desire for life.
ReplyDeleteA weekend filled with harmony-waves for you.
The sea is a scary place it need Poseidon as it's God to protect all who sail in her. And I can't swim, so it's very scary to me !!
ReplyDeleteI Love that little fur ball !
I love the way the clouds echo the shape of the trees in the fourth photo.
ReplyDeleteThey are all stunning. I don't feel worthy to critique great work as this. You work amazes me. I saw a book at the bookstore yesterday called Visual Poetry. You could have written it. Check it out.

yes, definitely yes, and also definitely the lighthouse against the darkness. Appeals to my melancholy nature.
ReplyDeleteThe lighthouse shot is so dramatic and the last one reminds me of how vast the ocean is. Beautiful! Oh Angelina how I have missed you!
ReplyDeleteI love the lighting and colors in your photos! Another great series, Prospero..
ReplyDeleteVery moody pictures.
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots! The surface of the water in the last pic is simply gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great title for this set. If I remember it correctly, Poseidon was very moody just like the sea. Seems like he had a good day when you captured the pictures.

Angelina hit a chord with me today.
ReplyDeleteI see in her eyes a retired old sea captain, gazing at the oceans ... the memories of years gone by in her pensive stare.
"...Three lines of wave together raced, and, full in the white crest of them, a wild Sea-Bull flung to the shore, a fell and marvellous thing. The whole land held his voice, and answering roared in each echo..."
