This is a video by über-talented Roxana (poetry, photography, video). My small part was to play a few notes on the piano.
A young woman takes a wintry stroll and meets her alter ego. Based on the poem Snow Way-Out by Rachel Fox, this postmodern essay toys with the doppelgänger figure so common in literature. Within the confines of the multitudinous self, no certainties exist - all is open ended. The ambiguity of the end stresses the fragility of self and the fluidity of the borders between reality and fiction.

This is wonderful, Prospero. I didn't realize you are a musician, too. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is very nice. I had to come and get my Prospero fix. Spunky is so fat and we cut back on his food and we make up for it in treats.
ReplyDeleteNice. How I wish to play piano, a fraction of your talent.. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic video, I love the music, bravo!
ReplyDeleteWow! I thought the piano music you wrote and played was exquisite! What a wonderful collaboration on such a sensitive, intriguing and thought-provoking piece. All 3 of you are to be congratulated on your contributions to the mood, tone, and message, and Roxana did a beautiful job of pulling it all together!
ReplyDeleteThis is quite impressive. Your piano playing is lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's still snowy at my friend's place in Canada. Have you still got snow? I'm in London where it's been cold lately but nowhere near snowy weather!
ReplyDeleteYou're so talented! Great photographer, creative person and musician! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love the video and your piano playing is lovely.
Hugs
Snow is cold. I think I will be quite lost in a world like this. The sound of the piano and images moves me wandering... perhaps to find a way-out... Nice work! Everything is good. And wow you are a pianist too? All of you are multi-talented!
ReplyDeleteRegarding your seed grown Adenium, I am happy for you that you like the flower :-D
A very interesting experience, including the music. And, yes, I'm about to have a walk, and it is snowing. But all I'm going to meet is people airing their dogs. I have to bring my own self.
ReplyDeleteWonderful and beautiful music.
ReplyDeleteHow are you?
Regards.
Brilliant! I love Rachel Fox's poetry, and your music together with Roxana's video create a wonderful deep experience.

ReplyDeleteI have viewed Roxana's wonderful videos, and find them captivating. I think your piano early on established a nice enchanting mood. The piece in general seems fairytale-like....or like Alice Through the Looking Glass....the camera, of course being that glass.....nice collaboration. Hat's off!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are a musician, too--but I'm not surprised. I hear music when I look at your photography.
ReplyDeleteI think of you often. I hope all is well with you, dear Prospero!
Roxana is amazing, by the way! Wow! What a talented woman she is.
We miss you, dear Prospero. Come back again soon.
