Tears from Heaven

Finally, a few tears from heaven.

Opuntia cochenillifera. The Cochineal Cactus.

Pachypodium geayi from Madagascar. It is one of the tallest in the genus.

The piebald majesty of the mysterious Allspice tree.

The culinary spice, Allspice (Pimenta dioica), comes from the dried berries of this tree. Its distinctive white bark makes it a real standout in the landscape. The leaves from the tree, when crushed, have the characteristic Allspice scent. Heavenly.

An urchin watches...

a vale of tears on my window. (Mildred, do you see how my house is actually peach colored!)

The rain does not bring unhappiness. It brings great joy.

My neighbor's red house.

Rain and mist.

I never knew where allspice came from, it does have a pretty bark and I'd be crushing leaves all the time to smell it.

  9. The Pachypodium geayi colour is so cool. Looks metalic. This is the first time I see one all-spice tree. I find it strange to see the white bark. Oh the rain and mist, I miss them nowadays. TQ for your wonderful comments you left in my blog. I wish all your flowers in your garden will bloom soon :-)
