Consensus

Juan de Bermudez and a marauding band of merchant bankers discover a mysterious island, where out of limestone cracks and crevices spring scattershot cedars that grin and growl.

They soon arrive at the uneasy consensus that they are too late to claim the devil island as a new territory (the houses were not their first clue, but i do not wish to trouble the reader with the myriad of delusions that trouble the sleep of these brave men).

  4. A pleasure to see the way you have used the portrait and landscape formats and differences in tinting to good effect.

And the merchant bankers? There are some very nice uninhabited islands in the utmost South Atlantic ...

  5. I am tempted to make a joke or crack about the marauding bankers. But my head is focused on cedars springing from limestone cracks. One senses an unruly and dynamic life force underneath the deceptive serenity. The different tints reveal the close relationship between colors and feelings or moods. I am imagining you were floating, drifting, sailing out there too...
