When asked a question, one as evocative as the type often asked by small demons, i recalled the splendor of the violet shade you once stepped into.

  1. Abstractions in violet - the blue hour of the day. Not to mention more than the day.

  2. (gasp) What a breathtaking picture--your words make it even more so, dear Bro!

You are wonderful with words. A kind of lovely genius.

  5. "In this lush garden, you sometimes nearly suffocate. It is perhaps a cliche, but you cannot approach beauty. Between it and us there is such a gap that it cannot help but provoke shame when we face this world that we have built without ever consulting innate grace -- destroying the grace instead with something strongly resembling satisfaction."

  6. I've often thought of shooting empty space. Honing down a composition, minimal, very like what you have done here and in quite a few other images I've enjoyed looking at meditatively, and learning from on this blog. Though I think I must still find "safety in objects." It is seductive to contemplate stepping into the violet...

Your words are only true if I deem them to be so.
