Farewell

Dear readers,

Many of you over the years have commented on the grace and beauty of my dog Angie. It is with great sadness that I must announce to you that she passed away on Tuesday night. Words cannot express my devastation. How could i let my butterfly angel fly away?

The mirror is broken and i cannot see a way forward for this blog. i really appreciate the small group of loyal readers that have seen fit to populate these pages with their poetry of spirit. After all, it's all about spirit, isn't it? But when the spirit flies away--only shattered fairyland glass remains.

Prospero

  7. I am so sorry to read this. You have my deepest sympathy, I know all to well how it is to loose a dear friend as only a sweet dog can be. She will always live in your heart, and I hope she will continue to inspire you, whatever you decide concerning your blog. I have been away for a while, life sometimes gets in the way of blogging. But your blog has always inspired me, readig your words and looking at your beautiful pictures. I hope you after a while will decide to continue blogging.

  10. Dearest Prospero! :-D I think of you so often (especially when I do my work with the animals).

Polaroids have the same effect on me as old black and white Hollywood publicity photos and those of Native Americans before their way of life was decimated. I thought it was nostalgia, but now I see it in terms of the absence you mentioned. Photographs can break your heart. It takes courage to live and it takes compassion to live well. A serious intellect is the icing on the cake!

I know how hard it is. I went thru a long period of time when I isolated myself because I just couldn’t take another heartache, but eventually, made my way thru. I hope/know your healing is taking hold, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.

May you always walk in beauty.

  12. A belated but heartfelt wish of condolences. I have often read your messages in other blog bottles floating on the sea, and have left quietly but with respect for your voice of reason, and yes, of spirit. Be well, though the physical vessel of Angie may be gone, she will live forever in your heart.

  14. Hello, dear Bro--I'm SO sorry to hear of your loss. This seems to be the year for them. ((hugs)) I had a feeling. That's why I visited your blog just now. I've thought of your dear little pup and you so often over the past few months.

I have been absent from the blogging world--having just gotten back into writing and posting again regularly...it was painful to blog with all that was happening in our lives.

Please don't go, dear bro o' mine. I'm so sorry for being out of touch.
