Feijoa

Feijoa, such a mellifluous name. The flowers make an exquisite way to garnish any dish since the fleshy, succulent petals are edible. In fact, they are delectable, invoking the taste of honey delicately suffused with an exotic berry taste. The tree also produces a fruit commonly known as Pineapple Guava. It is small tree or shrub and has spectacular blossoms. The grayish-green leaves have a silver under-side, adding to the plant's overall attractiveness.

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog. I bought a dog life jacket for Trixie and take her in the pool with me. She swims but only because I've put her in the pool and she wants out :) Do you have a papillon too?

  5. Hi Prospero, the pineapple guava must be nice. I like guavas. They are crunchy and sweet. Those blooms are pretty and I like the colour. Have a great weekend!

  7. Trixie is spoiled. She doesn't have to worry about being out in the heat. We have a sunroom - the pool has a mister system and there is a pool bathroom with a dog door so she can go in and out. Ahhh... the life of a dog!
