Hurricane Bill is scheduled to brush by my home on the Isle of Devils. Such are the vagaries of living on a subtropical island. At the moment, all is calm, but things worsen rather quickly once the storm makes its final approach.
Hurricane. What hurricane?
Shutters
Candles
The silence, the beauty, the excitement, the waiting.

Prospero, I pray that you and Angelina will be safe. Your pictures are always so very unique and gorgeous. This is especially cute of Angelina. She's not worried!! Take care and update us when you can.
ReplyDeleteI hope the hurricane, here called cyclones)wont do any damage and spend his force out at sea.
ReplyDeleteYou have everything ready; Angelina is keeping watch. The shutters and candles are prepared.
Please stock up with real candles and shutters! Don't be brave there - be safe please! We love you and your art! Hope we overprepare - and Bill will be less mean than they describe it!
ReplyDeleteI hope Bill passes you by without any damage. I can imagine it would be scary this time of year when the hurricanes start up.
ReplyDeleteProspero I thought of you when I heard the path of the storm. HaNG ON TO THAT LITTLE FURRY KID.Please take care and get back on when safe.
ReplyDeleteWould like to wish you a safe passage of that sturm. Please be safe all of you.
ReplyDeleteWishing you safety through the hurricane and that Angelina won't be frightened by the storm.

ReplyDeleteWishing you safety from here and what a beatiful photo you have in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteOh, please stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHi take care.
ReplyDeleteAnother great photos!
I love the 'Candles' shot! Enchanting!
ReplyDeleteHope the storm wasn't too bad and didn't cause harm to people or damage to any house. Take care!
The Shutters and Candles photographs are lovely. In Mozambique I had several cyclones pass by and first there is this silence, and then the noise approaching. For me, the sound it makes as it approaches is the terrifying part. I hope you will be safe and there is no damage to your property. Please bring the little dog inside.
ReplyDeleteTake care! I hope the hurricane will be a mild if forecasted correctly. Btw, I like your 'candle' picture :-) I wish I could be as creative as you are Prospero. Have a safe and sound weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well! I see that the camera and the photographer)is still up to its usual quality.
ReplyDeleteHoping you are staying safe and sane. You and yours are in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be safe and you have no property damage. I just saw on a map today that Bill is headed toward Maine, where my son lives. He has a home off the shore of Acadia National Park. I hope your little dog and you are going to be ok.
ReplyDeletecoucou Prospero...
ReplyDeleteprends soin de toi,de ton adorable petit chien et de ceux que tu aimes...
j'espère que tout ira bien..je t'envoie mes plus sincères amitiés ... tu es dans mes pensées...
Clo...
Good luck and be safe
ReplyDeleteOh - I really hope everything is ok with you and your beautiful little dog! Take care and be safe. Great shots as always!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for your kind words on my blog, while I was on vacation. :)
Wishing you the best and safety with that storm! Your photos are full of beautiful wonder.
ReplyDeleteSpirithelpers
thinking of you, behind such green shutters. thinking of your dreams, at the heart of the storm.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and creative images. I hope you are all safe, take care!
ReplyDeleteHope you waited out the weather in comfort. I bet the clouds were fascinating to watch!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well!!
ReplyDeleteI hope by now the storm had passed, and everything is alright.
ReplyDeleteI love your the perspective in your photo, and the last one looks like firework..
take pictures...take care...
ReplyDeleteI've seen no hurricane ;-)
ReplyDeleteShow yourself Prospero.
ReplyDeleteNo news is no good.
Trevor, thank you for your concern. The storm caused very minimal damage in Bermuda and ended up in Maine (where, sadly, a seven year old girl drowned as a direct result of Bill). I'd ask you to think about that family, presently, for their grief will be difficult to bear.
ReplyDeleteI hope Bill doesn't do too much damage.
ReplyDeleteI love the candles!
Sometimes the worst thing about a hurricane is the waiting. Often it is impossible to know where or when it is going to hit until the last minute. We've had several head up the east coast and out to sea, only to stop turn around and come right at us.
ReplyDeleteI don't like them at all! But it looks like you have been spared. Right?
Glad to hear you're okay. I was a bit worried when I saw it was days since your last post.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I loved the shutters :D
The shutters, Angelina, the candles (all lit up!)---each image so beautiful. I hope there wasn't much damage. Loved the photos in your last post too. Take care!
ReplyDeleteThe leaf shot is absolutely gorgeous! Great composition!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know Bill has caused minimal damage over there, but I feel so sorry for the little girl...
I have had visitors all week so haven't posted or visited blogs, so it's nice now I have the time to do so again.
