Art is a response to chaos. And probably not a very good one, either.

Kareltje =^.^=
i would hire killer but i think my little pup would kill!!!! i made peach jam a couple days ago and have another pile of peaches waiting to be jammed!
ReplyDeleteAll your photos from this post are outstanding. Yellow flowers from the first photo look fantastic among the green grass. And what a wonderful light you captured on that photo. And the „flame of the forest “photo is also fantastic. That lovely tree in bloom and blue sky make the photo so colorful. The „orbit“photo is interesting composed and the next black and white shot with the flowers that look like little bells; both photos are really very attractive. And, what a wonderful view of an egg in the nest! I love that photo very much. “Your breath” photo also took my breath away; what colors! And, your Angel photo; it is like a cream on the top of the cake!:-) Thanks for another beautiful post that you sharing with us. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Prospero!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are magnificent. You are going somewhere, if you aren't there already. How can you not? I love the lone egg in the nest, and the flower in orbit. They are very conversational, as to what one would see that another would not. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful day. Country Hugs, Sherry
I LOVE Fiesta!! Does Angelina know how admired she is?
ReplyDeleteLove your picture "orbit".
ReplyDeleteGreat shot,
Gisela
Another wonderful collection and again I have my favourite - this time it's l'oeuf abandonner:)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, as usually.
Have a lovely weekend:)
I just adore 'Orbit' I could hang it on my wall. Killer !!! ha ha, more like a little angel.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the little video, amazing shots and very nice music. I'm not sure I get the words, now you have me thinking about it. Why oh why are you so mysterious ??
ReplyDeleteEntertaining video, beautiful flame of the forest, le réveil, and transitions. Ha ha Killer, the watchdog!
ReplyDeleteAngelina pictures are always so cute. I'll take "killer" any day!
ReplyDeleteYou send a flower in space! Beautiful and powerful colors! That tree in flaming red is gorgeous, but the lonely egg in a nest is what brought a tear to my eye! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow very pretty and Killer is welcome any time with me!!!
ReplyDeleteWho are the people in the slide show? - it looks like a place where artists gather - or like place where friends gather - very interesting - people lost in the pile of things - you put the spot light on them!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of photos. Fiesta and Orbit are my favorites. I will take "Killer" for a fee. :)
ReplyDeleteOooo, so I should be very artful! :) Love the egg!!
ReplyDeleteI love Fiesta and the abandoned egg (my high school French is paying off).
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the video too! Is it from a festival of some type?
Your photographs are all awe inspiring & breathtaking! They have a magical quality about them.
ReplyDeleteIt is so long that I have seen such a 'crowded' flame of the forest. Very nice and nostalgic for me. I used to see this tree when I was a kid in my hometown. Nowadays this tree is getting rare... perhaps like what you mentioned before... gone due to redevelopment. Have a wonderful weekend and happy gardening!
ReplyDeleteOrbit and le réveil are my favorites. Thanks for your wonderful post, I'm enjoying your blog, just add it to my favorite blog list.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful images. I like all. Le réveil, mon coeur est rouge, your breath, 'oeuf abandonner, & transitions are awesome.
ReplyDeleteRegina
I hadn't heard the phrase, "Art is a response to chaos." That's good. Art is able in some ways, I think, to defuse the potential of chaos for evil...that's why generally dictators and their ilk so fear art.
ReplyDeleteI'm know I'd be deathly afraid of "Killer"!
Have you started your mystery novel yet?
The flower in space is marvelous :)
ReplyDeletePS. We have translated a few words from Polish epecially for you on our blog
Wonderful shots! the 1st one looks absolutely magic! Gorgeous indeed.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! The flame of the forest is superb! Made me think...why didn't I get a shot like that...?! Beautiful images!
ReplyDeletethe little blooms help the chaos so they say~
ReplyDeleteSo hard to make up one's mind! All picture are wonderfully beautiful. If I had to decide my favs were 'Orbit', 'Fiesta', and 'Transitions'.
ReplyDeleteAh yes. Where would we be without chaos? Nothing would ever change. It is all so beautiful, but the lone egg strikes a chord. I can only offer a small biscuit, but Killer could visit any time. No toil required.
ReplyDeleteOh my so many comments, you are becoming very famous Prospero. Thank you for the explanation to the words on the video. I was actually thinking along those lines but the way you had worded it had me baffled. (doesn't take much !) I loved the music and no I didn't find it too modern, I mean here's me who loves Amy Winehouse !! So you have grown peaches as well, I am so envious.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are like wonderful works of art!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about your quote, 'art is a response to chaos', which is something I hadn't thought about before. I reckon it can be, but can also be a celebration of order and design. I wonder if it depends on the artist, and also the mood the artist is in at the time? And the outside stimuli.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, is Killer available for cat duty? My Rose has become too lazy to keep cats out of my garden.
ReplyDeleteI have listened 3 more times to the music and it does sound like a real piano to me. Also I wouldn't have known it was atonal ! it just sounds different ! how was it created to sound like a piano then ? I'm curious now. oh no !! more mysteries on your blog.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful series of images and. ..
ReplyDeletethe last is the most beautiful for me!
:-)
Thanks!
Since some of you have commented about my quote, I'll take this opportunity to explain it more fully. I do not believe that chaos is a question of mood or external stimulus. I believe it is the fundamental state of things.
ReplyDeleteIn order to examine this belief, it is instructive to look at another discipline, namely physics. The concept of entropy is paramount. Entropy can be defined, in simple terms, as the tendency towards greater chaos and is central to the second law of thermodynamics.
Let me give you a concrete example about the tendency to greater disorder.
You are watching a film of a girl on a swing, going to and fro, and a bouquet of flowers suddenly coalesces in her hands. You know immediately that something is amiss. You understand that the entropy of the system is wrong, and that you have been watching the film backwards.
Your intensive photographic world is indeed a wonderful world of imagination. I love it to bits!
ReplyDeleteLittle butterfly ears is very cute but is this also imagination, or are there hiding some darker thoughts?
wonderful images, each and every one.
ReplyDeleteyour text is an interesting thing to ponder, also.
I would like to pass you a blog award - feel free to accept it or not - I just wanted to express how much I enjoy your work.
ReplyDeletenice collection of photos..
ReplyDeleteI love what you do with your camera. Fiesta really speaks to me.
ReplyDeletefor me the music adds a whole new dimension to the images - just like your captions open them up, the music adds to their depth. i loved it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Prospero!
ReplyDeleteSi seulement on pouvait être réveillé par les cloches des fleurs au lieu de l'être par le cloches de son réveil.
ReplyDeleteKiller is more than welcome on TheGreatWall.Anytime at all.
ReplyDeleteAgain,the photos are outstanding!
Dear Prospero, I know your position on awards - I just had to include you in my list of blogs that inspire me - as an expression of myself. I enjoy your work. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteFiesta e transitions - fantastics.
ReplyDeleteI like them very much
So many great photos, it's hard to pick a favourite! Fiesta is gorgeous....and so is Angelina. More like 'butter wouldn't melt' for that photo, although 'killer' is not out of the question...our Louis has dispensed with a few rodents in his time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dramatic display! Just beautiful.
ReplyDeletetransitions is like the entryway into the fairy world.
ReplyDeleteFlame of the Forest, Orbit, Madness - each time I looked at an image I thought it was my favorite and then I'd scroll to the next one.
ReplyDeleteYour uncanny ability to use one word to evoke feelings for an image leaves me breathless.
Beautiful work!
such dream flowers and amazing colour transitions... Manuela is right, a fairy world!
