Amaryllis and True Capitatum

Amaryllis.

Sky.

Pelargonium capitatum
Rose-scented pelargonium or True Capitatum

The leaves on this geranium have a wonderful rose scent when bruised. Gentle winds often cause enough friction to imbue the air with its heavenly perfume. The plant also known as true capitatum is grown for its essential oil which has commercial applicability in perfumes, potpourri and skin care products.

Clivia (my little canary)

Two, better than one.

  1. Beautiful! I know the cat loves playing pinball - I'll watch out for Trixie, too.

  2. What beautiful flowers. The pelargonium is mostly grown as a container annual here. I love the scented ones.
Is that beautiful wall in the second picture near where you live?

  3. Hi Catherine. The wall and all the plants are at my home. If you look carefully through the wall, you can see the ocean.

  8. Beautiful flowers & you are such a cute little doggie Prospero...I wouldn't let you get close to the water here in Florida, so you don't have to worry about an alligator getting you:)

  12. This series of photos is excellent. Every photo is great. Amaryllis flowers and its pink colour with white touch are really gorgeous. Your sky photo is so beautiful and attractive. I like those lovely blue sky and those white fluffy clouds and the long stone fence makes beautiful composition on this lovely photo. Yellow Clivia is absolutely gorgeous and the flowers from the last photo are also so beautiful and charming. Those two flowers remind me of violets. I really enjoyed this post. Thanks for sharing.
